Peak Study Resources is dedicated to creating resources for the IB Diploma
We bring together a unique group of authors. As well as many years of teaching the IBDP, most have also taught on intensive revision courses so they know what students find most challenging especially when it comes to connecting the whole subject together.
The origins of our expertly-written study guides for IB Diploma Programme students go back more than twenty years. Throughout their journey from OSC Publishing to Peak Study Resources, the fundamental premise of providing wide access to excellent, affordable IB study resources, particularly for students approaching final exams, has endured.

The story begins
A small group of IB teachers who had been working with Oxford Study Courses, the leading provider of intensive IB Diploma revision courses, recognised that over many years they had refined effective presentations and notes that were helping students approaching exams to bring the whole subject together.
The teachers also realised that attending courses was not possible for most students, and so with OSC agreeing to publish these notes, they began the work of applying their specific expertise in teaching revision classes to creating effective standalone books. - 2003
Roll the presses!
The first editions, including Mathematics and Biology, are published. They are focused and practical, but cost considerations meant that, for example, use of colour was limited. The books were also spiral-bound which is great for students as they lie flat on the desk, but not so popular with bookstores or shipping companies!

The range grows
The breadth of IB subjects grows quickly as more OSC revision teachers follow the lead and create revision guides from their notes. The range now includes Language A, Language B (French and Spanish), Physics, Chemistry, History, Geography, Psychology, Business Management and Economics.

Production quality takes a big step
With a growing team dedicated to developing the books, OSC Publishing adopts modern typesetting processes and strikes a new printer relationship that opens up full colour and an end to spiral binding. Authors now work alongside editors recruited with educational publishing expertise to further enhance their guides. It's a big year with new science and history editions in production.

Peak Study Resources is born
The owners of OSC decide the business should focus on delivering its renowned courses, which are now being held in several countries for both Easter revision and Pre-IB and Mid-IB summer vacation programmes.
Mathematics author Ian Lucas consults with the wider group of writers and, with unanimous backing, Peak Study Resources is founded as a new, independent publisher for the range. - 2020
A new face builds on familiar foundations
Peak publishes the all-new Mathematics study and revision guides for Applications & Interpretation and Analysis & Approaches.
Against a backdrop of a world thrown into disruption by Covid-19, work continues in republishing the range under the Peak imprint. - 2025
Another year of big updates ahead
New editions of our science study guides covering Biology, Chemistry and Physics are in production, as well as Business Management.
We are also working on new guides that help students build skills in mathematics and science more broadly.
