Our Authors
Cameron Lumsden has an Honours degree in Chemistry from Trent University, Canada. He has been teaching IB Chemistry since 1997 and is currently Head of Science at Munich International School, Germany. He has written the last two editions of Chemistry SL and Chemistry HL core study guides.
Tony Hickling qualified as a Chemical Engineer before moving into education. He has taught IB Chemistry and Physics since 1986 and worked as an IB Diploma Coordinator at four international schools and is currently Principal of ULink College, Guangzhou, China.
Martin Bluemel has a degree in Biochemistry and a PGCE from Oxford University. He has taught IB Chemistry since 1987 and was previously the IB Diploma Programme Coordinator at Taunton School, UK. He is an experienced examiner and has taught revision and mid-IB study courses since 1992.
Dave Allen started teaching IB Chemistry in 2000, initially at UWCSEA in Singapore, then from 2008 at Canford School, UK, where he is also Director of Community Action. He has also taught on summer and intensive revision courses in pre-IB Chemistry, Chemistry, and TOK.
Roger Woodward, MA, ARCS, read Chemistry at Imperial College of Science and Technology and gained a Masters in Science Education from Chelsea College, London. He started teaching IB Higher and Standard Level Chemistry at Sevenoaks School in 1985 and is an experienced author.
